Professional Wet Ceiling Repair After a Leak
A wet drywall ceiling should not simply be painted over. Water can weaken the gypsum core, loosen drywall tape, cause joint compound to separate, create stains, and leave sections of the ceiling soft or sagging.
Our wet ceiling repair service focuses on working with your insurance company to restore the damaged ceilings. After the source of the water has been repaired. We determine which drywall can remain and which sections should be removed and replaced.
We remove wet insulation from behind the drywall and seal the framing with a mold preventer. New insulation is installed, and new moisture and mold resistant drywall boards are brought in to replace the sections that were removed.
New drywall is installed where needed, followed by taping, finishing, sanding, texture matching, priming, and painting as required. The goal is a finished ceiling where the repaired area blends into the surrounding surface. By using our 25 years of experience we work with your insurance company to restore your home to pre-loss condition or better.
